Lachlan Library

We have recently opened the Lachlan Library on the CD with some 90 books published from 90 to 250 years ago. The initial concentration is on the history and culture of the Highlands. but the intention is to expand to cover Scottish, Irish and Celtic history and culture. We have included a number of novels which portray the author’s perspective of life in the Highlands. We plan to include books and documents on the pioneer life of our ancestors in Australia, Canada , New Zealand, South Africa and the US.

The books in the Library are in E-Pub format (the publishing standard)) and in MOBI format (used by the popular Kindle from Amazon.) A few of the larger books will be in PDF format. They can be read by dedicated E-book readers, (software or hardware) and iPad type tablets .
