The Lachlan Trust of Canada is a registered charity dedicated to raising awareness of our Scottish & Celtic ancestors. A current major project is raising funds to preserve a 700 year old castle on ancestral grounds in Argyll, Scotland. We will be initiating a long term program to develop a series of booklets, Blu-Ray & DVD discs highlighting Scottish and Celtic history. We will be providing a unique opportunity to experience the Scotland of your ancestors. By joining and donating you will be part of preserving an ancient Castle and supporting Scottish Studies.
Become a member of the Save Old Castle Lachlan Club:
The Save old Castle Lachlan (SOCL) Fund and the SOCL Club were formed by the Lachlan Trust of Canada, a registered charity, and the registered not for profit Clan Lachlan Association of Canada Inc(CLA).
The Basic Club pledge of $25.00 to the SOCL Fund gives a charitable benefit; it brings membership in the SOCL Club; it brings an Email newsletter with monthly prizes for Club members; it brings a CLA Associate membership which entitles you to all the benefits of full CLA membership except voting rights; it gives access to an Online Library(See www.clanlachlan.ca); historical booklets are progressively introduced into the online Library and then included in the next issue of the SOCL CD; recent issues of a clan magazine, newsletters from Canada and Scotland are included.
It brings an Entry in the Club Members Annual Draw. This year we are launching a membership drive for the SOCL Club with a draw in January 2011
Become a Clan Society Member and full CLA member.
The Bronze Club pledge of $30.00 to the SOCL Fund brings not only the benefits of the Basic Club but full membership in CLA and the Clan Society. You are qualified if you or your spouse have an ancestor, male or female, born in Scotland or Ireland and named Lachlan, Laughlin, MacLachlan, McLaughlin, Claflin, Gilcrist, MacEwen or any of the 400 variations of spelling. For Clan Society members the online Library has additional benefits with genealogical information:MacLachlan Records by County in Scotland; an Updated Your Family History; a Private Genealogy Message Board in 2010
